Outside Landscape Group recently completed a unique Lake Martin landscape project inspired by one of golf’s most recognizable settings: the iconic par-3 12th hole at Augusta. The goal was to capture the visual character and golf experience that made the original inspiration memorable while creating a custom feature designed specifically for the homeowner’s Lake Martin property.

Landscape Design Beyond a Traditional Putting Green
While putting greens are often designed primarily for short-game practice, this project called for something much more distinctive with its scale and level of detail inspiring OLG to team up with Celebrity Greens to bring it to fruition.
The concept focused on recreating the atmosphere of an iconic golf hole within a private Lake Martin landscape. That meant considering not only the playable area but also how grading, landscape features, turf, planting, and surrounding elements would work together visually.
